These are not the same category
It is worth saying plainly: RingCentral Fax and FaxTo answer different questions. RingCentral answers "how does our organisation handle fax alongside phone, video and messaging, under one administrator, with compliance support". FaxTo answers "how do I send this scanned letter to a tax office from my phone".
People end up comparing them because both appear in searches for online fax. If you are one person with one document, RingCentral is a large piece of infrastructure for a small task — and if you are an IT manager rolling out communications for forty staff, a consumer fax app is not a serious option.
Pricing you have to ask for
RingCentral's fax pricing page does not present plain plan prices; the figures it does publish are add-ons — additional fax numbers at $4.99 per user per month, and a $30 one-time fee for 1-800 and vanity numbers. That is normal for business software sold per seat, and it is a poor fit for someone who wants to know what one fax costs before sending it.
FaxTo's answer to that question is a credit count shown on screen before you press send. FaxTo has not published its credit prices yet, which is its own gap — but the unit is a page, not a seat.
